Author Topic: [UK EU Referendum] - UK VOTES LEAVE | 51.89% // 48.11%  (Read 48897 times)

It's going to be close pretty much all night. It won't get anywhere exciting until the biggest constituencies announce votes, which will be towards the end.

I'm still unsure on how it will land but retain some optimism for leave.
I'm going to bed now though, so I will likely wake up to a confirmed result.

Who knows, I may wake up soon to no longer be an EU citizen. Exciting.

Taste freedom and leave, Britain. I believe in you, just this once.

if i wake up to find out we've voted to leave i'll stuff my pants.
good night.

You do realise that if it's a vote to leave that we don't just suddenly leave the EU at that moment?

This referendum isn't a "forget you" letter to the EU from the public. It's the public telling our government if we want them to talk about it in Parliament. They then make a vote on what they want to do, just like any other law nose to the left and eyes to the right. AND THEN even after that stuff... THAT law is then passed through the House of Lords who will have to ratify the choice/law.

Only at that point to we START to "leave". Us leaving triggers a certain clause in a treaty somewhere in EU and we then start negotiating our way out.

This isn't even an overnight process at any stage yo

I should have put in a comma.

I know it's not overnight. But if we vote leave we will eventually leave. We're not asking for a debate on leaving, we're voting to tell Parliament to get us out of the EU.

i think the uk's version of the senate and the house sound loving cool

house of lords and house of commons

or i could be wrong and they're nothing alike

Will Zealot eat a sock?

I made a horrible mistake. But I'll stick by it.

Reddit really wants this to happen--1000+ upvotes in an hour, while the top post I was leeching off got 700 in 6.

Maybe if enough people get involved I'll turn it into a charity thing. "If we can raise $300 for _______ I'll still eat it!"

Well are you going to put some spices in it or just eat it raw

the spices will be his feet juice

Numbers aren't THAT close anymore, right? Leave is winning here so far with 200,000+ votes ahead

Or could somehow switch again but that would be a miracle
