Author Topic: [UK EU Referendum] - UK VOTES LEAVE | 51.89% // 48.11%  (Read 48651 times)

a good argument against nationalism is war thunder.

This is what happens when you get all your news from facebook.

This isn't a temporary thing. The UK can't just say "forget off" to the EU and go on about their business. They have to negotiate their withdrawal and future relationship with the EU, settle outstanding bills with the RU, negotiate new trade deals with their foreign allies, figure out how migration will work and somehow keep the country running smoothly.

Not to mention that now Scotland is planning on holding under referendum to leave the UK, which has a large chance of passing since they voted heavily in favor of staying in the Union. Considering how important Scotland's economic relationship with England is, it'd be a heavy burden for the UK.

So basically, the U.K. just forgeted themselves big time. The Leave campaign provided no actual plan for the future of the country if the referendum passed besides standard nationalist rhetoric. But I guess "they took their country back," so I guess they can hold on to that once thousands of workers get laid off when the majority of British companies leave for more sustainable economies.

All these that are to come in a few years:
  • A stronger pound
  • Better control of borders
  • Less money being spent on the EU
  • Lower youth unemployment
  • Less EU regulations on businesses

Will soon improve the U.K economy as when business and industry rise again so will the great rise back into Britain.

Cameron just kinda dashed any hopes of a 2nd referendum being held. So yeah, that petition did nothing.

You're actually looking at a weaker economy rather than a stronger one in the near future. The UK's murky political and economic outlook points to less business investment, which leads to a weaker currency.

As for better control of the borders, negotiations on the terms of Britain's exit haven't even begun yet, which means the immigration situation doesn't have a solution right now, just rhetoric. The U.K. has to keep its borders open until the deal is fully settled. If you're hoping for a massive reduction in immigration, you'll be massively disappointed over the next few years.

If the UK was truly capable of sustaining itself without the help of the EU, then the markets wouldn't be crashing right now. If you're looking for these results within the next decade, prepare for disappointment.

Just update OP, will add anything else relevant that comes in.

But holy stuff lol Jeremy Corbyn and Labour is falling apart
Over half his cabinet ministers have abandoned him

What did you expect to happen? You could just re-roll the vote and get what you wanted?

Tell me more on how the economy would be weaker?

I doubt other countries would miss out on the U.Ks high GDP.
