Author Topic: Broken Server 4: blockland.exe has stopped working  (Read 1346 times)

Yes, I know, I just got on BL, suddenly, BAM, the server breaks AGAIN!
I've pretty much had it with the server.
But let's get to the point.

Details:
It started to give me an error saying "Posting to master failed  Reason: No user"
June 13, 2016, my friend, TheWoodenDoor, A.K.A. TheMrDoors, wasn't able to join.
As soon as I started to host today after installing a few add-ons, it stopped working after it loaded the music.
It doesn't start up whether or not is disabled.

Console.log:

Reward:
Obviously, my thanks.

More info:
I did not port forward.

Thank you for your help.

i can't see anything immediately wrong with your addon list. maybe remove some of your weapons from the addon folder, and see if it works.

the console log cuts off at a really weird place too....

remove some of your weapons from the addon folder

Alrighty then. Thanks.

remove some of your weapons from the addon folder, and see if it works.

My result:
It continues to break. It stopped working again. I don't know what is happening with my server. I can't get it working.

try hosting vanilla Freebuild gamemode and see if its still broken. if yes, try reinstalling bl from fresh, or removing all your addons and deleting your cache

just to confirm, blockland is crashing, right? or is it just not joinable?
if its not joinable you may need to try port forwarding

It is crashing. Before, it wasn't joinable. And I don't really want to delete the add-ons I have. I worked so hard for this server and I don't want the modifications to go to stuff. I'll try reinstalling BL, but please note that I run the Steam version.

just try hosting freebuild instead of custom and let us know what happens

dont go and delete your addons folder just yet; if its crashing still, just remove all your client addons and see if that fixes the job.

No, it didn't crash. But there has to be a way to fix this because I'm not hosting a VGRP without add-ons.

If it works with default add-ons, then one of your custom add-ons is crashing your game.

I would start with just default add-ons, and re-enable the custom add-ons by type until it crashes.  Then further narrow it down through that section.

That's all I can suggest.

what tendon said
just disable addons in bunches until your server doesnt crash on startup

just disable addons until your server doesnt crash on startup

It's kinda working now. I'm going to lock this topic and create a new one.
