Ukraine, frustrated and furious, begins seriously considering integration with the West. In order to meet requirements to enter the EU, they begin a campaign of democratization and attempts to reduce corruption. Time will only tell if this is successful.

In addition, public calls for NATO membership have only increased since 2014, and now make up a majority of citizens. After a successful public referendum, the government now seeks membership. The United States, as the leader of NATO, must approve.

NASA launches 6 new research satellites into orbit

Over the past 5 years, various space agencies across the USA have been perfecting what they developed in the last decade. NASA with it's highly efficient engines, ULA with its line of heavy lift rockets and SpaceX with it's highly efficient workforce. Each of these, government owned or not, have had one common goal; the exploration of space.

As new space agencies pop up, the original ones are coming so very close to realising their dream of exploring space, by taking their first steps off earth in a very long time. With the close coordination of NASA, ULA and SpaceX with their Dragon 2 command module, mans goal of reaching mars by 2024 may finally see the light.

Russia makes the point that those in Crimea and the Donetsk region want to be either sovereign or part of Russia. They are not interested in being part of the Eurozone. Russia also cites the stagnant growth and loss of Britian in the EU going in to the mid to late 10's, along with the EUs motions toward centralization as being poor for the Ukraine, or at least those who live in the Donetsk and Crimea.

Stratum has made a request to test craft and launch from South Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, Northern Scotland. This request was reluctantly approved, and tests are now underway. It would appear that Stratum has a naval division as well. They haven't announced to the public what they are planning yet.

A space center some ways northeast of Riyadh begins construction. Being so new, the RSSP intends to spend the next few years in R&D. No plans for launches and missions will occur until R&D concludes, so as to assess the situation then more accurately.

The Duma hears surprisingly little about the Ukraine as the year ends.

The RFSA seriously considers reactivating and rebuilding the Energia "Energy" lifter rockets. A family designed in the 70's to lift Polyus DEW sats to orbit to counter Reagan's SDI programme, the rockets can lift 100 metric tons to LEO, or 44 metric tons to GSO, making the rocket a serious contender for taking Russian men and women to the moon.

The RFSA announces the plans for the closure of the Baikonur Cosmodrome at the end of 2050. Operations are continue to be diminished as Russia transfers its missions to Vostochny Cosmodrome, a newer spaceport in Russian home territory. RFSA considers building another cosmodrome around Vladivostok, as far south in longitude as Russia get within its own home territory safely. Russia would have to negotiate this plan with Japan, as the rockets would make a pass over Japan at fairly low altitude.

The RFSA would need to negotiate the use of the Tsugaru Strait and the southern parts of Hokkaido as a launch corridor for its rockets.

The German government doesnt want to be apart of this situation with the Ukraine. We try to ignore it, and to go after our Space Program. We try to research Resuable Boosters

hi am france.

on a side note is it okay to build stuff in ksp for this or would i have to use rss

You may want to use Real Solar System, yeah, but sure!

snide remark about french and green kerbals and frogs

The OP needs to add gravity as a danger for all these planets and moons. Long term low or higher gravity is dangerous as it slowly affects the human body and causes birth defects to newborns.

honhonhon yes we will eat sentient green frogs

On the website, some bodies are listed with low/high gravity, but I guess I missed a few! Thanks for pointing it out.

hi i think i wanna get back into this stuff

can i be germany

The RFSA realizes its plan for the Energia rocket. Two are undergoing refurbishment while two more are being built Vostochny.

The Russian Federation, having endured ten years of economic hardship due to the intervention in Ukraine is pressured to secede eastern Ukraine back to its feeble government. It will soon bring forth it's requests which if fulfilled would return the Ukraine to Europe.

The RFSA surveys possible launchsite locations around Vladivostok, funded by Russia's continued work with commercial space contracts and its ability to generate fairly cheap missions.

hi i think i wanna get back into this stuff

can i be germany
agent legit 22 took it, so no
i have been informed otherwise
France starts working on possible launchsite locations, then realizes they're in about the worst place to launch anything.
