Quality ones can be expensive, but stuff ones exist so hard they're sold as toys for small children.I'm not sure of any that come with a remote, but most can be hooked into a laptop or security system.
Atleast one that's silent and I can be notified if it detects motion. Let's say it's connected to my Desktop and I get a notification window popup on my pc.No noise, no lights.
so you wanna know if someone's gonna walk in on you jerkin it, huh?
arduno/pi zero is your best bethttp://diyhacking.com/arduino-motion-sensor-tutorial/http://www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-Controlled-Motion-Sensor/have that connect through wifi to ifttt and once motion is detected curl to IFTTT and have that send you a message once triggered or somethingif you want no hassle you should find a AiO kit for it including either a PiR (Passive Infrared Sensor) or a "ultrasonic sensor" but that still will take some coding.
Buy an ultrasonic rangefinder, an arduino, and one of those RF transmitter/receiver sets that can be used with arduino. Should be less than $50 to make exactly what you want, and you might actually learn something from it.
More because I got a father who thinks he owns the place yet when he leaves I own the place
and how old are you again
Wait a moment. I just read this for the 3rd time.. Sounds difficult. From what your saying is I need to buy all this equipment and set it all up together.. How?
LOL. Yes and no. I need to know when my parents hallway has motion-especially around the door though most will be false flags because cats.. *sigh*More because I got a father who thinks he owns the place yet when he leaves I own the place.. I tend to stay up late. Like, 8AM dawn late.
What are you planning on using this for? A motion detector seems like a lot of effort you could avoid if you invested in a door lock.
I'm tired of my father bitching at me for staying awake late in the morning, that's the reason. Locking a door against your parents never ends well..
