Author Topic: Blockland Dedicated Server stuck in an "Authentication Loop"  (Read 3503 times)

After a long break from hosting, I decided to host again. When I booted up the server, I was given this over and over.

(As a last resort the image is attached)

After which  I decided to clean install Blockland (excluding Blockland.exe and the DLL found in the folder), In both my Documents as well as Program Files (x86)

That didn't fix it.

On a related note, my router will not let me port forward port 28000 for TCP and UDP because it is supposedly "In use by another rule". That cannot be the case because I deleted all the other rules. This might have something to do with upgrading the router to a newer model.

Absolutely no idea what to do other than call my ISP and I was unable to find any information related to this issue anywhere else.

Many people have been getting this lately, that's odd.

yeah, I'm really beginning to wonder.

Okay I seem to have resolved the issue after countless calls to Centurylink, (all of which told me they weren't trained to handle it) including going to their "@ease department" tacking on an extra $14 USD a month so that I could get support to cover port forwarding issues. They said they don't handle port forwarding.

I finally decided to reset the router/modem and it allowed me to port forward UDP 28000.
I suspect that it was my older router which was port forwarded for blockland, and those settings weren't removed but did not show up on the new router.

I will now test my server again and determine whether or not to lock this topic.

Is this a hint that blockland is going to die completely soon?
(that was a stupid joke)

It seems to be an issue on your ISPs end. They may be intercepting your packets and injecting bogus ones. I would suggest attempting to use a VPN to see if that would clear it up.

Not so sure I know how to do that

I've been having the same problem with Xfinity, so it's not just a CenturyLink problem. I also tried to get tech support but they didn't get back to me.
