Author Topic: BEST PSU for $60 or under?  (Read 1030 times)

So my power went out earlier and I booted up my computer to have a message saying, "PSU IS EXTREMELY UNSTABLE" or something along that lines
Looks like I need a replacement, any suggestions? I need at least 600W, and reliable

just buy whatever stuff doesnt have bad reviews, theres PSUs for $20

Are those reliable? I forgot to add that to OP
If my power cuts out I don't want it to fry my mobo
Also that EVGA looks nice so far

go look on PC Part Picker

i have had a refurb evga 650w bronze for almost a year now, not a single issue or complaint

this could help if you're willing to read but idk i think the evga would be fine

you should also invest in a good surge protector so you don't fry your next PSU

i picked up an EVGA 600w at bestbuy for like 29.99

EVGA is very nice and affordable

The only thing you need to know about what makes a good PSU is the brand name.

EVGA and Rosewill are good PSU brands

you don't want super cheap PSUs though

Corsair sells the best PSUs. All my custom builds have them inside and they're very reliable. Not that pricey too.

There's a thread for this and don't cheap on out PSU's
You don't want to plant a bomb in your PC with a cheap Chinese one

this

PSU's are the one thing you don't want to go cheap on because it's either you get a good and partially expensive one and your computer is slowly upgraded over time or you get a cheap stuffty one and you buy good parts and then everything catches on fire.

your choice.

currently using the 600w EVGA PSU rn, can confirm is goot.

this but for normal-just-want-a-computer-build EVGA and stuff is fine. Although on my 15/1070 build I have a Corsair PSU and that stuff is niiiice

Apperently corsairs die faster
Hope this isn't true because I have one
