Author Topic: How do you pronounce W  (Read 8057 times)

'W' used to be two u's in old english. So therefore, a word such as "bestow" would be spelled "bestouu." Remember, in cursive (and a lot of older fonts), a "w" looked like it was rounded into two u's, hence a "double-u."

while we're at it, how do you guys pronounce pokemon?
poke-e-mon, poke-eh-mon?
porkymans?

um
Pokémon because it's spelled with an accent and because it's the correct jap pronunciation
