Author Topic: [Not as solved as it seemed to be] More blender problems - rotating an animation  (Read 1029 times)

So it turns out that my vehicle model is pointing the wrong way in blender. However, I have an animation set up. If I try to rotate it, the animated objects just go back to their previous position. How would one rotate the object, animations and all, to face the right direction?
Edit: Maybe this will encourage people to post in this topic.

Problem solved- I parented the animated parts to something else and then rotated it.
Edit: can't export as .dts with a mesh parented to another mesh.

have you tried rotating the animation when it's parented, then unparenting it and exporting it then?
no one else has posted yet so I might as well try and use my limited knowledge of Blender to help.

The objects reverted to their original position when unparented.

I'm gonna take a wild guess, if I belive right you parent vehicles to detail32 rotate detail32 and tell me how that goes

you might also be able to export it as an .obj with a different axis forwards and then reimport it

you might also be able to export it as an .obj with a different axis forwards and then reimport it
this also, Somthing else that might work bit is less likely to work is to parent those bones(Armatures) to another new Armature, rotate that armature, Parent the new armature to detail32
