if the game's premise involves wacky physics or ironic humor then it is probably not a very good game. goat simulator, iambread, and octodad are good notable examples.

I do not like mobas whatsoever. The communities are awful and the gameplay models all encourage you to drop thousands of hours into 'mastering the meta' for no reason other than to get really angry when you're on point but you lose because your team sucks and the other team doesn't and then you derank because you gotta pad out that playtime

also I'm never going to buy a loving skin don't even try to tell me for a moment that skins are indicators of skill just because you sunk $100 into skins for your extra special character that five million other people play better than you doesn't mean you're better

The worst thing is that they're not fun unless you know everyone you're playing with on a friendly basis

it took me about 300 hours of dota 2 to figure out that i really dont like dota 2. i could only play it with friends, it was wholly unpleasant otherwise.

i really dislike the witcher 3.

the circlejerk around the game overblows what the game is; "this game is the best ever!" is a common phrase.
i thought "hey i liked skyrim maybe this will be the same thing?? reviews look good", so i shelled out the sheckels for the game to find out how boring it actually was.
whenever i say that i dislike the game, people just say "you gotta play it more! it gets better!" and "lol are you blind to how good this game is??".
negative reviews on the game on steam are instantly slammed down into oblivion because people are lost in the circlejerk.

i played it for 1 hour, it's so loving boring, i had noticed myself almost falling asleep while playing it, in the middle of the day too.
i also can't refund it because it wasn't a steam purchase.
meaning i now have a stuffty game which i paid full price for which i cannot turn into another game.

what do people see in this game, is the graphics of it just the main focus point in every single loving review?
graphics alone should not determine the reviews of the game.

I loved witcher 3 for lots more than the high graphical fidelity. I loved the story, the Slavic mythology, the way the combat system works, the love, the world, the dialogue, and the love.

I Both love And Hate Hotline Miami 2 for Reasons that are obvious if you played the game.

pretty much any game that tumblr claims is "super progresive!!!"

you can't say that and at the same time watch steven universe

The reason I never even bothered to see what it's even about is whenever I hear people talk about it, it's always
high graphical fidelity. the love, and the love.

i dont know where you're getting that graphics are the only reason the game is popular. sure, it's a very pretty game but that's not all there is to it. and if you've only played it for an hour you really haven't experienced the game.
