Welcome to my thread of riddles. I've been meaning to make this for a long time after Akio's original thread on riddles sparked my interest in them.

I have for you today several riddles I have made up on the spot. Try all you want to google them, if you actually get an answer that way, I will be surprised.

You may post riddles as you wish as well, and may solve any riddles in the thread in any order, just be sure to quote the specific riddle you are solving.

If you're the first to solve the riddles in this OP, you will be listed below that specific riddle you solve like the true champion you are. Nice job.

Let's begin.

Here's an easy one to start us off with:

1) A farmer sows three seeds. The first seed takes a few days to sprout, the second seed takes several months to sprout, but the final seed takes a whopping 270 days to sprout.

The first seed would grow into a tomato bush, the second seed into a grand tree, but the third seed grew into something more special.

What grew from the third seed?

Solved by Jake White: A baby.

Another one:

2) I'm traded away to those you love the most.

Symbolically, you see, though I am very much real.

I keep you alive, my unthinking host.

My speed quickens with your zeal.

What am I?

Solved by Toxicology: A heart.

And lastly:

An ancient tool for hunting and war.

Considerable strength, I take to wield.

A long wooden shaft that forms the core.

It is me and my children you take to the field.

For if I alone, this item you bore,

It is certain you would be the first to yield.

What object do I describe?

Solved by Space1255: A bow.

Again, feel free to post your own riddles. And most of all, have fun.

Reserved. Also, I realize now that this might've been better in forum games but it's probably too late for that now.

EDIT: can't read numbers, first not third

The first one is a baby, right? 270 days is 9 months? seed being his seed?

That'd be exactly right, nice job.

is 2 a heart?

Actually yeah, it is.

I must be bad at this if these are too easy.

is the last one a sythe?

is the last one a sythe?

Close, but no. What children would a scythe bear? Think about it some more.

is the third one some kind of axe

the last one is a spear

Is the last one a cart?

a SCYTHE BEAR

Absolutely correct.

the last one is a spear

Instrument of war and hunting, yes. But, no. The children part. Do not overlook the children part.

Is the last one a cart?

It's not an instrument of war or hunting. (is it?)

Last hint for the third riddle. Here's a basic explanation of what that riddle is asking.

What item with a long wooden shaft base that, without it's children there with you, renders it useless?

A paddle for ass whooping
