Yet at its core, democracy can only function through division. It is for this reason that it is fundamentally flawed, and fundamentally malign.
The policies I enacted were fascist in principle.
 It is for this reason that I see a fascist republic as America's great future.
One only needs to peer across the Atlantic, upon Germany, to see an example of democratic failure followed by immediate fascist victory.
Henceforth, I hereby declare the United States of America to be a Fascist Republic, whose principles shall of course retain Libertas at her core, but not democracy.
Our revolutionary ancestors would agree with me; a fascist republic is the only way America may adapt.
A democracy may have been the perfect solution in our country's rising years, but now it is old and strong.
It does not need a weak cradle to carry it through times of uncertainty, for it is no longer naive.
I hereby abolish congress, and grant its powers and duties upon the presidential position and its cabinet."

The American army sides with FDR, the top brass having been convinced by members of the thought to be defunct business plot, and as a result congress can do little to stop the seizure of power. As with most revolutions, the national anthem and flag are changed.
