Have you ever stared at a word and just wondered why it's spelt that way. You eventually stare at it long enough and forgot how to pronounce it?

ok so i occasionally like to use this site called listenonrepeat which auto loops youtube videos cus maybe i like a song a lil too much or something and i'm playin a game so i wanna listen to that for a while
so i find a cover for a song and i think hey thas neat i might play that while i play somethin and i see THIS NONSENSE

THIS IS NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE THAT IS 9 QUINTILIAN REPEATS THE EARTH IS NOT THAT MANY HOURS OLD WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE

i got reminded today about how obsessive reddit is about helmets
in my bicycle country, literally no one wears a helmet, and youll probably get laughed at if you do.
but we bike absurd distances and we do it while drunk/high, too. heck its not uncommon to see people smoke while biking lmao

this will always blow the mind of american redditors and they WILL NOT STAND for such absurdity
god i hate how americans handle culture shock

I mean, if you wanna risk being injured or killed...

Just saying, y'know, just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't...

ngl that's a kinda stupid social stigma to think wearing helmets is stupid

don't think u were always able to do that tho right? pretty sure that's why i started using it in the first place

in 2014 only 180 people died in bicycle accidents. while 3030 people died that year accidentally falling.
so should we also wear helmets for walking, then?

literally the only, and i mean the ONLY people in this country that wear helmets: first graders that got their first bike and learned yesterday, and sport bicyclists.

What kind of Americans we talking about?

I mean I guess it's on you to doubt the safety of biking helmets. you can easily just stop riding a bike or negate that risk almost entirely with a helmet but you can't stop walking, idk why you would even bother mentioning it.
