Since Twitch implemented the pointless 'chat while watching the VoD' feature, i can no longer watch a VoD without it lagging, freezing, and buffering every few seconds, you have the option to disable that and only see what was said during the stream, but it doesn't help

I have to hide the chat window to watch the VoD's with no problem, but i only watch the VoD's to see the, what were the then live, reactions of the chat, so hiding that only defeats my purpose of watching the VoD's

I think it also has to do with watching at 720p 60fps

twitch has always been an awfully designed website if you don't have a good internet.
when i had a 800kb/s connection, their website loaded at a snail pace when 3000 people are spamming emoticons in chat.
it still loads awfully with a 4.5mb/s connection.

Before the update, i had 0 problems watching Twitch streams/VoD's at 720p 60fps

Maybe there's something that isn't optimized about this update? Can anyone one confirm whether or not they have issues watching VoD's at 720p 60fps with the chat visible?
