My Problem with Suggestions and Requests

I personally think permission to be able to modify posts in suggestions and requests should be revoked as I remember times when I found something I wanted in a thread and it was locked so, "Oh, he must have the link!", and when I go to check it just says something like, "whoops, found it" now the problem with that is some people don't add the link to the addon in the post, so I can't get the addon.

I was thinking on how badspot made it so you couldn't edit posts in help- Now that I think of it, all I was thinking of was when badspot made it so you can't edit posts in help and erase issues.
But still I am annoyed when people don't post the links.

What about an entirely different problem with S&R where the more "clickbaitey"(terrible choice of words but I can't think of any other) suggestions like a rape mod or a really impractical one(Blockland on X engine! Blockland on Console! Blockland on Iphone! etc) get all the replies, while actual suggestions get ignored and pushed to the second page of death?

The problem is that there is so many requests and so little active modders here that its really hard to explain or say if its viable or not. I can't tell you if its possible to remote control a bot for example but I am sure some modder can say it is or isn't, plus, a lot of users here are more reserved than active, if anything a request is usually composed of "Man thats a great idea" or "I can see this being possible"

So when a person requests something stupid like "Make Blockland playable on Gameboy color", everyone is able to chime in and just go full tilt on the person, effectively knocking down an actual request into 2nd page.

this is very true, there's not a ton of people that make addons and are active a lot

True, I remember asking for a Tower of Terror car, Rcoekt Rods car, Mentos Diet Coke launcher, and the rebuild of L4B and, they are either never made or vanished.

heh yeah I was really glad that somebody finally actually re-made it but since by then I stopped hosting I never really got any use out of it, but hopefully someone else did
