A truck drove 2 kilometers into the crowd at "Promenade des Anglais" in Nice town, near the beach. After fireworks.

We are talking about more than 10 victims so far, some witnesses talk about more than 30 dead

Update: Atleast 60 victims

Update: Nice Matin now reporting 74 dead and 42 in critical condition.

The death count is starting to slowly rise as people in critical condition are dying and more bodies are being found. It's currently at 76.

The "Raid" (special french police for attacks) has executed the single driver of the truck
Grenades and guns were found inside the truck, the driver also had a small gun, which he used against police

Mr Hollande made a speech making the following announcements:

• France to increase alert level

French President Francois Hollande announces the boosting of security forces numbers, both within France and at its borders

• State of emergency extended

"The state of emergency, which was to end of 26 July, will be extended by three months. A law will be submitted to parliament next week for this."

• France to reinforce Middle East operations

France "will reinforce operations in Syria and Iraq" says President Hollande.[/list]

He also mentioned "terrorist attacks" which "killed dozens of people who came only to celebrate Bastille Day, including children"

But remember, no CIA claim yet, but the killing procedure is looking a lot like the one published by Islamic State ("...Drive over them with your car")

This is insane, I really don't get why someone would feel the need to do this. Aside from that, it's only been about 1-3 months since the Paris Attacks............ this could shake France to it's core.........

1-3 months is a big time gap in itself and the attacks happened in November lol.
