This topic was made because of all the people i get ingame wanting to ask me questions about race &/or call me mondayWhether you agree or not with the movement, that none of my concern. However, alot of people have a misconception of what the movement if for, let me explain.
#BlackLivesMatter does
NOT mean other lives don't matter. The focus of the movement is to end police brutality but also to put emphases on the group that is believed to be effected the most.
If you don't understand it from me, here's a woman with white skin who explains ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zcDYTnJ18E Skip to 2:25Here are alot some

I cant believe this is something I have to explain but here it goes. The word monday comes from a long line of hate and stereotyping. If you use it, its going to be hurtful to a person who still is effected by racism. Just because you have a friend with a darker skin color who doesn't care if you call them that doesn't mean it any less offensive, degrading, or inappropriate. No, it not appropriate for
anyone to call someone a monday but the difference btw a lighter skin person saying it to a darker skinned person is that that lighter skin person isn't a part of the negative fallout left from slavery. If it is so important for you to use the word monday, either fight for black people to be seen as equal or paint your skin black for the rest of your life so no one will judge you for it. Maybe it would be such and issue if racism didn't exist but it does.
Systematic Racism You dont have to believe it it exist, im just going to let you know my mental processes when going to public shopping areas. I try not to stay in one place to much because, like before, im afraid that employees will hover over me like they have before. I try not to look up at the cashier to much because like this one time, I look up an notice her eyeing me down and asking what are you doing. Some places I go, im afraid to walk alone because of the chance somebody will aggressive throw a racial slur at me making me feel unsafe.
Acting Black/White This is the most simple. You cannot act a skin color. You can act like certain individual of a culture but you cant act a color. There need to be different names than black and white.
Alot people people like to judge a whole group of people by the actions of some. We all had the one idiot in elementary school that ruined field trip for not just your class, but the whole grade.
For all those people who think less of darker skin people, just know without slaves, America would be as big of a world power as it is now. Lot of marginalized groups are also responsible for things we use today like hair straighteners, peanut butter, etc.
