Fat is a component in food. Some foods, including most fruits and vegetables, have almost no fat. Other foods have plenty of fat. They include nuts, oils, butter, and meats like beef.

Also, a list of the highest-fat foods:

Being vegan will definitely make most people lose weight.

i'm a meat eater and i have no intent to change my ways but you really have to be a moron if you don't think animals would have higher fat concentration than plants

That doesn't say that "most fat is from meat" though, does it? (plus kidshealth.org? really lmao)

It doesn't really matter anyway because it's again dependent on what exactly you eat. There are very lean cuts of meat, and ways to prepare meat to minimise fat intake. That's without even challenging the assumption that all fat is somehow bad.

That's not what he said though. He said most fat is from meat. The fat in my diet is definitely not mostly from meat personally.

I'm sure depending on your diet, it's possible a majority of your fat is from sources other than meat--however the point was that cutting off meat intake would drastically reduce your daily calorie count and cause you to lose weight. You can always nitpick those statements because everyone has a different diet.

Which is exactly why you shouldn't claim that you (or any other vegan/vegetarian) are somehow inherently healthier than someone who isn't.

Well to be fair the website matches the demographics of the BLF

What? No, I said that cutting meat intake will make you lose weight. Which is true of almost everyone. Are you seriously going to say that my claims were false because some people eat 5 bags of potato chips a day? If you replace meat with a diet of fruits and vegetables, literally everyone will lose weight. You're nitpicking on an insane level.

Gotta stay healthy
