I don't have to sit here and defend a snarky comment like it's my mission statement or something.
..and yet you have

If it's going to become a moron-measuring contest I think Planr still takes the crown.
I guess I should clarify that both are things I don't recall Planr doing. Maybe he has done them, but if he has, I would call him out on it equally.

It's not trying to convert people, it was one of 30+ posts that day quickly written in jest. I don't have to sit here and defend a snarky comment like it's my mission statement or something.
pretty sure citing something as a "reason to become vegetarian" is classified as trying to convince people to become vegetarian

Planr brings up religion far more than I bring up my diet.
You can lose weight on any diet, Veganism is just one of the very best. A lot (probably most) long term vegans are in it for moral reasons though.
Your claims are implying that a vegan diet is the superior diet for weight loss though. You then posted a misleading source that showed animal products as being the foods with the highest fat contents when the list only showed that 100g of animal fat contains 100g of animal fat.

good reasons to become a vegetarian
1) you want to

The three articles you posted are on how switching to a vegan diet makes you lose weight, but the problem is that a healthy diet isn't solely about losing weight. This is what Darryl is trying to say, but that tunnel vision of yours keeps shining true.

The truth is that yeah, veganism can make you lose weight if you're eating a lot of unhealthy, carb/sugar-rich foods, which a majority of overweight people already do so take that as you will. But this isn't helpful advice because everyone already understands that cutting out unhealthy foods can help you lose weight and people with actual weight problems will NOT be helped by switching to a vegan diet alone.

I think you need to crack open a human biology book sometime and read up on weight gain and loss, and how our body stores fats. I don't think you can really argue his points considering he prolly knows more about the whole dietary habit deal than you

Users write stuff like "another reason to switch to pc/mac/linux/xbox/ps" all the time. Nobody cares then, but god forbid a vegan post.

It's because nobody is insecure about their console, but loads of people are insecure about their diets. I don't know why.

Thinly veiled fat joke. Stay classy, mczealot.

That wasn't a fat joke. You're paranoid.

console users may be peasants
but vegans are subhuman

veganism, socialism, christianity, etc are all very personal things, involving personal beliefs and lifestyle choices and aren't things you should push onto other people unless they've asked to debate it
which operating system or console you use isn't personal

I think you nailed it, actually.

What the hell? I'm not calling you fat dude, chill out.

Actually if someone went into a topic about windows 10 getting a virus and said "More reason to switch to OSX ;)" people would have acted exactly the same as they did in this topic.

You can dodge the point all you want, but the reality is that almost everyone who goes vegan will lose weight.
Hey big guy, you know what I did to lose 40 pounds in 6 months? I stopped drinking soda, ate healthier and went outside more. I didn't drop any meat.

I know you're saying going vegan will make you lose weight but it's not a good option to lose weight

I'm sure you can find tons of examples of people deriding other people for saying "another reason to switch to pc/mac/linux/xbox/ps" or things like "PC master race." I know I have seen it posted and I express it in my own thoughts when I see it.

From my perspective you're the one in this topic who is the most insecure about their diet. I don't care if you think a vegan diet is morally superior, that is your own decision, but you can't back up your claims by providing misleading sources and unprovable statements.
