Only if you enabled the option to automatically create restore points, otherwise you're out of luck

Video files. I deleted all the .mp4s on my desktop on accident. was rendering a video with them.

stuff man. I guess you'll have to download them again if you can't restore?

haha i did that once too, except i was using Movie Maker (no, i cant afford Vegas, sorry) and saved the PROJECT, not the mp4, and proceeded to delete the footage. Had to redo the whole video, it was great.
But I would suggest going into the Start Menu and putting in "Restore." A result should pop up with "Create a restore point." Click on it, and an option should be available to do a System Restore. If the option is grayed out, you don't have any system restore points, and you're out of luck.

Why would you want to buy vegas?
In fact, why would you want to buy any overly-expensive software?

I don't, but I know some people will judge me for using Movie Maker in 2016.

cus afaik there aren't any free tools that can match up to it. if there aren't any now though, there probably will be soon enough considering how popular free, open-source software is becoming. there's definitely enough demand for it at least. i got my first version of vegas for like $90 tho years ago. it was like vegas 9 platinum or smth

Isn't Vegas one of the leading video editing software besides whatever Adobe has? Premiere is it? I don't remember

It is. I use it. What I meant was that they overprice it and piracy is pretty much justified if you're not rich enough to be wasting money on it.
