im gonna try to make this as brief as possible:
the idea: (NOT final and open for suggestions / adjustments)
the player joins the server and performs some action (command, pressing a button, etc.) and they are teleported to an empty 64x64 or larger empty lot. they are then told to build and when they are finished it becomes uneditable, (or not, but i dont want explorers to walk in on someone building) and they are then classified as an explorer. they are then teleported to a random finished lot until either a timer runs out, or they perform some action (command, pressing a button, etc.) and they are teleported to another finished lot.
something that could also be cool would be players gaining 'points' for exploring lots for a certain time, (will hopefully encourage exploration and not just scrolling through lots) and they can build in a new lot if they get enough of these points. another idea that would be hard to implement but super cool: instead of a timer which people could just wait out, make players find a special brick in the build to award points
what i need:
- download for some kind of Lot addon that can function in the way i described (or similarly) and any other addons i'll need
- someone who can help figure out how to implement these ideas with events/vce or something
- some help building some "demo" lots so it's not completely empty at first
what i can do:
- host the server
- build some of the aforementioned "demo" lots
- download whatever addons are necessary
- patrol the lots / moderate to make sure people arent doing stupid stuff
hope this sounds cool. it was inspired by the idea of LSD dream emulator in blockland and it eventually evolved into this more blockland-specific idea. i wanted it to be a spin on traditional freebuild servers, but i am not very talented so i just wanted to pitch this idea and hopefully get some people to help me make it. or at least share this concept.
