also i don't really even think no true scotsman apples well here. the DNC is a part of the democratic party, which is a political organization whose goal is to elect candidates with more left-leaning ideas, it is not an organized body of liberals nor does it represent liberals as a collection of individuals. mczealot's statement was a reaction to issues relating to this organization and not to dismiss issues within an imaginary body of all liberals, therefore a no true scotsman couldn't apply.
