i don't understand the aversion to swearing in minors and why kids will often get "in trouble" with their parents, teachers, and authority for using these words
i could understand punishment for saying racial swears like monday and the like but forget, stuff, and piss? why even bother?
Because it isn't professional/couth in most cases to swear. Especially in learning and formal environments. Its about being well mannered. I swear like a sailor around friends and stuff, but when it comes to being around family and important things, my manner switch turns on.
On topic: very very rarely, in most cases because something bad or surprising happens. Usually under my breath, my parents are kind of hard of hearing anyway, lel. But they've said it themselves that they won't really "mind" me swearing because I'm an adult. But it just feels weird swearing in front of them anyway.
My parents swear VERY openly around me and my brother (who is 14 now and swears grossly, like its a legitimate problem and he says the nastiest stuff its so annoying).
