Hamid, one of the senior members of the group, speaks up.
Hamid:  "If those guards are military, then they're either trading military cargo, or perhaps salves.  I think we've been set up."
Fazi:  Very well.  Let it be known that the contact said that if we abandon this contract, they said they would have us out of town.  With this in mind, we might have to move our work somewhere else.  You know well that some of the people of Tabūk seem to trust us more than that disgrace Lord Ramzan.  With that in mind, let's take a vote.  All in favor of ditching this contract, say "Aye.'  If not, the time to strike is now."
Bashir, & Iqbal:  "Aye"
Fazi:  "That settles it then.  Let's pack up, boys."

Suddenly, two guards armed with scimitars and one with a chain drop from the clifftop.  Two other guards with crossbows also close in, one from the right and one from the left.

Guard 1:  "Drop your weapons!  We have you surrounded!"

One of you should scream "OI M8 WHAT THE forget WE DINDU NUFFIN"

Sorry for going missing for several days.  I've been very busy but am now able to continue regular updates.  Character submission forms have been updated.  I will be allowing for players to control their on characters now, so feel free to submit a character!

Hamid yells something snarky to the guards in the dialect of rabble.

Guard 4 fires a crossbow bolt into Imad's chest, causing Imad to drop his knife and fall to the ground, staining the sand a deep red color.  Imad lay on the sand groaning and coughing up an occasional spurt of blood.
"I will not repeat myself! Drop your weapons!" Guard 1 says as Guard 4 prepares another bolt.

Bashir and Iqbal look to Fazi.

Y'all should surrender, there's no way in hell you can win this with your skill sets right now.

Definitely don't continue to confront these guys.

Fazi just chill and lay down arms.

Reluctantly, Fazi gives the command to drop weapons.  The gang drops the weapons reluctantly, Bashir does so with a forceful throw.  Hakim also drops his knife.  Guard 2 leans back and signals around the rock with his hand.  Two more guards come from around the corner, carrying more than a combat-acceptable amount of chains.  As the armed guards retrieve the dropped weapons, the chain-guards move in and tie up the members of the gang one-by-one.

Guard 1 speaks with Guard 2 and Guard 4 and then leaves to go around the rock leading to the caravan.

The remaining guards, with the gang secure, throw the weapons in the pile and begin to go through the party's stuff.
"Ah yes, I was getting really thirsty," Guard 5 says while drinking Hakim's water down to the last drop. "Thanks, little man."

Also something for until Monday at Midnight, you can claim a current NPC from the list included below:

Fazi is by no means a strong leader, but is shrewd and good in bladed combat.  He may be a bandit, but since he struggled up from poverty, he knows the value of neediness and thus does not prey on those who are already victims.  He has a talent for rallying people together.  Described as a shorter man with shaggy hair and a mottled complexion.  39 years of age.

Bashir is a tall, dark-skinned man of 1.9m height, full of muscle and by no means weak in combat.  However, although he is rich in fighting, he is not the brightest.  Despite his callous and seemingly rude demeanor, he deeply values his friends and will be loyal to them in return.  Fights with staves and blunt weapons.

Iqbal is an average-looking man, but has experience in almost any odd-job out there.  He has the unique ability of assuming nearly any personality he wants and discussing just about anything with comfort.  Because of this, he is known well in Tabūk and the region surrounding it by name.

Hamid is a short, but stocky, bearded, light-skinned man whose energy is well-known within the team.  A former petty criminal who used to extort the poor of Tabūk with his half-brother, Bashir, he is easily describable as sly.  He gave up this life when Fazi fought him in a duel, won, offered him words of wisdom, and gave him a second chance to regain his honor through joining Fazi's gang.  He prefers to use unconventional weapons in combat.  The oldest member of the group aside from Fazi.

Hakim, say "Want more?" As you begin to cry
Sarcastically say "Suuuure, absolutely no problem jihadi," Hakim.

Guard 5 laughs.  "Ah, much better!"  He then throws the empty skin at Hakim, hitting him on the cheek and walks away to speak with the others.

Some of the other members are disputing with Fazi, disputing that we could've taken them in a fight.

Guard 1 returns, followed by a well-dressed tradesman with his head covered from the sun.  His hands and feet are dark and his skin is cracked and calloused, clearly a man who has known struggle.  "Pack them up.  We're leaving."

Fazi's eyes suddenly widen.  "That voice!  Zaid?!"

Zaid turns toward Fazi and stoops down to his eye level.  "I'm really disappointed in you, Fazi, he says as he removes his head covering, revealing his entire face.  I thought you were better than this."

The guards begin to carry Hakim's comrades away, some of them squirming about.  Two guards struggle to move the giant Bashir.  Hakim is simply dragged to a nearby rock face with his back against it and left there while the guards divide up the loot and carry it off to the caravan.

Zaid:  "You had a choice to do good, and yet you chose to be a criminal.  What a waste–"
Fazi:  "There was no way out!  After Naseeb died, we had no food!  There was no way to–"
Zaid:  "Never.   NEVER.  Utter the name of grandfather you scum!"

Zaid strikes Fazi across the cheek.  Fazi turns back and spits blood on Zaid's white tunic.

Fazi:  "The blood is on you, just like that time."

Zaid stands still, fists clenched tightly, glaring down at Fazi with an intense face, with an unseen rage behind it.

The guards, throughout this whole ordeal, had become increasingly cautious.  Guard 2 approaches Hakim, grabs him, and tosses him over his shoulder and begins to carry him away, passing Guard 1 on the way out.  "We're almost done, sir."  "I'm almost done here, Zaid says coolly, "I'll just need another minute or two more."  "Yes, sir.  We will wait for you."

As Hakim and the two guards walk away, he hears labored grunting, punches being thrown, coughing, and unspeakable obscenities being uttered, growing quieter as they near the wagon train.

???:  "No, leave 'im.  No one'll buy damaged goods like this."
Guard ???:  "Alright.  Terrible waste, though."

Hakim, finally able to see the conversation sees Imad to the ground, and sees Guard 4 speaking with what appears to be an Appraiser.

Ask Imad if he's still alive jfc

Hakim"I-Imad!"
Guard 2"Can it, half-pint!
Appraiser"You can take the chains from the one called Imad.  He's worth no more than buzzard food...

Now then.  You, set the young boy down."

Guard 2 wrinkles his nose and lowers Hakim to the ground in a standing position.  The Appraiser looks over Hakim with a careful eye, and begins to feel his arms, legs and torso.  "A great find.  He'll fetch at least 590 Dviddah in the market.  Put him in wagon one."
"Yes, sir." Guard 2 affirms while picking up Hakim and carrying him off to the wagon in the front of the train.  Guard 4 finishes taking the chains off of Imad and carries them to the supplies wagon.  Guard 2 arrives at the first wagon, setting him inside a carriage full of people, all wearing chains like him, but unlike him, wearing the most miserable faces.  Guard 2 then chains Hakim to a bar inside of the cloth-covered carriage.  A hot breeze blows in from the front.

Ok cool I've been OK'd to start controlling my own character I guess.

Walking through the sands, a mysterious figure arrives near the scene. His green hair blows in the hot breeze as he loosens his clothing a tad. Seeing an act of human trafficking going on nearby, he crouched behind a rock and tries to keep a close eye on what's happening, tightly gripping his weapon in case things get messy. He notices the corpse and the poor fellow being beaten by a guard.

With all but Fazi and Imad loaded on the wagon, Zaid returns from the beating and shouts a command to the guards, "PACK UP!  WE'RE LEAVING!"

The guards and crewmen pack up.  Zaid climbs into the guard wagon.  Guard 1 shouts from the first wagon where Hakim is stored, "ALL SET" and cracks his whip.  The other drivers also crack their whips and the wagon train slowly begins to pick up speed.

EPIC INTRO TIME
(Editing)
Before I do my (actual) intro will they stop for anyone opposing them or yelling "WAIT"?

I suppose they would.  They wouldn't likely be happy about that, though, because tradesmen usually have time quotas, especially with such a competitive industry as slavery nowadays.  And since they are on broad-wheeled wagons fit for desert travel, you can expect they will not go very fast.
