One of my old friends said his cousin thought the DS Lite was the "DS Lightning" and it was a legit new Nintendo system. He was dissapointed when it didn't come out that year.

God the 2000's were weird. It was like we wanted to be the 90s (who wanted to be the 80s but more rebellious) but we also really wanted to be the "future" cause it was a new millennium so what you get is this weird mix of fashion and culture that's both cutting edge and pushing the limits but also super loving dated even for the times.

It's no wonder the 2010s are so forgeted, look what we went through to get here.
