Stupid question.
I KNOW what a debit card is obv, but whats the difference between debit and credit?
Now that I'm 17 I am going to get a debit card for steam games and Newegg stuff. Fill me in.
Can I use debit card purchases online? Whats the difference between it and credit?

debit means it pulls from money that you actually have
credit is "i'll pay this back later"

i think debit is spending your own money from a card and credit is spending not your money from a card and then paying it back

you "charge" a debit card with money up front and with a credit card you pay your bills afterwards

A credit card takes loans from the credit card company and you pay it back later. A debit card takes your money directly from your checking account.

if you have money in your bank account, yes you can make purchases online
you still can even if you dont, but it will overcharge your account and youll receive a fine for i t (for most banks)
