do not loving buy a cheap PSU. they are NOT good at all and this happens.

this is the kind of stuff cyberpowerpc uses in their computers

can confirm cheap psus can slowly kill hdds or forget over your gpu from experience

unfortunately it isn't, a lot of people do this still

bronze, silver, etc. are all electrical efficiency ratings and [quality != efficiency] so there's probably nothing for you to worry about

I'm using that exact PSU right now, it runs just fine.

this is why you only go for the bronze/sliver/gold stuff

this has actually happened to me before. had a 600w that blew up on me lol

i dont think ive ever spent less then 100 bucks on a psu in my life.
every one of them are still good lol. i think i buy new ones every few years just for the sake of having new stuff.

platinum should be fine, right?
