One game was banned and two were censored in recent history. That's a loving tiny amount, and the amount of content removed was minuscule (the Hotline Miami 2 developer said he didn't care about the Aussies pirating the game, Saint's Row IV lost a weapon and a mission, South Park: Stick of Truth lost one cutscene which was replaced by a MUCH funnier message from the developers).

GTA V had weed smoking and love scenes and torture and it was released without any censorship just fine over here. Mortal Kombat X and L4D2 were both released uncensored after the R18+ rating was released.

No, I'm telling you that issue is far smaller than you're trying to make it out to be and that every year our Australian Classification Board is becoming looser and less restrictive with the rules.

You could have used Germany as an example as they are notorious for censorship, but instead you chose a country that is beginning to shed that reputation.

Since "censorship" ONLY applies to video-games in Australian culture and hardcore research movies, it doesn't affect our right to speak freely about what we think, especially in the realm of political issues.

freedom of speech was definitely not what the founding fathers fought for--in fact, they didn't even originally plan to have a bill of rights. they fought over taxation, which was overhauled through the constitution. your freedom of speech was later added along the bill of rights.
