i will try to recollect the specifics of the dream i had last night
i was called upon by an unknown force to open blockland, only to find that blockland had been updated to Blockland V 0.0. i cant remember the reasoning behind this name, but there was some text explaining that badspot had struck some kind of deal to re-release blockland to another medium. now i forgot a lot of the specifics of the update unfortunately, but i will list off what i can remember
- servers were packed to the brim, with around 300 to 500 players in each
- it had been reformatted into a sort of mmorpg, where players mass-join "servers" (think club penguin servers) and gather around a hub before going out further to a castle and eventually green plains that i assume you could build on. the strange part of this is that the servers still seemed to be owned by individuals, but badspot was also there and he was an admin.
- there were all new default weapons which were all yellow for some reason, which aided a group of hooligans in bullying newbies like me, eventually forcing me to change my name to disguise my identity (i believe i changed it to Jim'oe)
- all of your previous names could be accessed and viewed in a small menu above the "Welcome, (name)" thing on the home screen
- tags had been reformatted to become more like character titles, with a much larger max character limit, they were blue, and they were all after the name unlike the current system where they're black and on both sides of the name
- bedroom was back
- even though it was implied that other people owned the servers, badspot could drastically change the gameplay on a whim to take a break from the mmorpg type gameplay and start a random challenge or rocket deathmatch
- if you didn't change it in the settings, the game would, by default, display your real name instead of your screen name
so what do you guys think? i personally believe it to be a vision, sent to me from the future, to warn of a mass-scale overhaul of blockland.
