Maps
We didn't get better vehicle physics, and we didn't even get optimized shaders.

Optimized / more customizable shaders that include more options seen in things like Reshade.
(or more environmental options all-together.. perhaps a precipitation option.)
Better vehicle physics.
Optimized netcode so that servers with higher amounts of players dont start stuffting themselves.
Better ways to handle audio so things like vehicle engine sounds that change pitch according to speed are easy to do without client mods.

a better eventing system with loads more events

runtime errors get patched, and maybe a few more builds are made default.

Maybe also a better, more flexible engine? Something that would increase the community's ability to create.

More cosmetic stuff and maaaaybe an addon builder of sorts where you can make edits on certain weapons and whatnot

Runtime errors and bug fixes. I doubt that will happen anytime soon though.

I would say an engine update to make it updated like how someone manage to make GoldSrc more advanced. I would like to have bug fixes like the game would randomly crash and to make shaders work for more other operating systems.

show mounted objects in first person
add a command to change a player's jump height similar to the commands added to change movespeed
clients send command to server telling what their desire chat font size is

fix load freezes
fix runtime error crashes

force download the top first pixel of textures if they are disabled, no issue of people downloading obscene imagery while still allowing items and objects with colored textures to display proper textures
