Weird IP issues lately?

Recently on the forums I had a problem with posting and PMing. It said that my last posting was from less than 20 seconds ago although it had been a minute. I waited and tried again, again, again, again. My IP on the bottom-right of my post says "unknown". Has anyone been having this lately?

actually yeah I did a few hours ago even though I haven't posted in like 30 minutes but going back to my pc instead of my phone worked

I'm going to bump this so i can confirm with you that this stuff is happening so people stop stuffting up my thread telling me that the problem is me.

from the other thread just so you don't say that we're posting too often or the time in between trying to post again counts towards the timer

I've gotten this like four times in the last few hours even though every time it pops up I haven't even posted or tried to for a few minutes
it's broken

also since that message it's happened about 4 more times, this is getting ridiculous

Nope.
Also running Windows 8.1.

Seeing as your guys IP is showing up as unknown, it's likely that it's grouping your IP's together causing the post withing 20 second flag to pop up commonly.
For example, let's say User A and B are both having the issue.
User A makes a post at 12:00:16.
User B attempts to post at 12:00:26, but gets flagged since User A is showing up as Unknown and the last post time for Unknown was at "12:00:16".

I cannot see why the forums cannot detect your IP though, makes no sense at all.
