Author Topic: DDOS Attack of unknown origins, crashed dedicated server.  (Read 3155 times)

I was simply playing with a few friends, mostly private aside from a few random people who joined. The entire server decided to lag beyond all hell. I was thinking it had to do with Comcast and such, but a look at the console said otherwise.

The IP is linked to somewhere in Africa, so I can only assume it was to cover their tracks.

Also relevant, a few of my friends said he was a problem user. He was on before it crashed and was spewing nonsense.

i've played on a few servers with ayeleeyen and he really didn't seem like someone that would ddos

when i get a chance i'll ask him about this

this is relevant because it appears to be the same method that they used to take your server down:

also this is the ip that we need to identify: 41.182.18.132

i highly doubt it's Ayleeyen, he doesn't have any technology available for ddos'ing
probably fishoiltablet

probably fishoiltablet
probably not but this ddosing stuff is actually just an add-on you can install. if someone gets it they can basically crash any server they'd like

i heard from a guy that ayleeyen is cca

ayleeyen is like my best steam friend, i highly doubt that he would do this

these are ayleeyen's previous ip addresses:
41.182.23.131
41.182.18.170
41.182.0.1
41.182.7.17
41.182.22.198
41.182.3.6
41.182.19.150
41.182.2.108
41.182.22.201
41.182.1.118
there seems to be a theme going on here

if its bears then its not cca, my bad.

i wouldn't be surprised if bears was cca because cca has done stuff like this before
coming back under different names and acting somewhat normal for a while until he gets bored or some stuff and starts pulling malicious crap once again

theres always the possibility that it's a shared key. when he comes back its almost always on one
