Something like Ephi's flamethrower, but a beam instead that can shoot over long distances.

I don't want something with a high fire rate that will eat your fps, like just making a gun with an extremely low delay.

like a railgun? just remove the delete part from the on collision script.

Shoo da whoop gun... summons a Shoo da Whoop then crashes the server

Make the muzzle velocity super fast, give it a cloud-like trail emitter, make the state image Firing sequence loop very fast ontrigdown, there you have it.

No, relying on hacky script.

Hacky but less laggy: Use a stretched static (with an effect similar to this), emitters for a 'zap' effect and a raycast to get distanced and what to damage.
