Storing a digital image of somebody on your mobile phone. "Blatantly morally wrong". Who's even coming up with these rules?
that's an oversimplification. it was his home screen, meaning he would see that picture every time he opened his phone, which wouldnt be a problem, if he hadn't said "its a hot pic of this girl in a bikini who i secretly have a crush on" imagine some guy you dont know probably whackin it to a picture of you and starting at it constantly, on the daily. sounds pretty creepy, right? sorta like an invasion of your privacy. again, this is not the case, just explaining why i thought it WOULD be morally wrong
so because nobody knew it was you, your words were sincere..?
why does it matter if they know who you are? does being incognito make you more sincere??
seriously the only thing i'm getting from you is "i was just acting nice so i could be popular"
because if people knew who i was, i figured they would assume i wasn't being sincere, even though i was. this thought process was backed by people instantly reacting negatively towards my attempts to be nice once they found out my previous identity, so i toned it down. i didn't want people to think i was insincere, because i figured that would be worse than just posting relatively normally. not sure what i'm not explaining right about the situation.
I don't get why you think I have to explain my background picture to you. "Hey I'll stop being handicapped if you explain your irrelevant background picture to me. Oh yeah, if you don't it's your fault for letting me continue to act stupid." I gave you your chance to stop but you continued. When it comes down to it, this topic and the 9 pages in the other are all because of you. Like you said, no one was interested in my original thread and it could have died off after I said "Stop stuffposting and get back on track."
you of course were not obligated to explain it to me, but i was by no means obligated to stop either. i really thought something forgeted up was going on, and i genuinely wanted to dissuade you from what i thought you were doing, and of course it's gonna look stupid as hell now that everyone knows its a joke, but i'm really not sure what's wrong with trying to convince someone to not do something that is considered, by most normal people's standards, really abnormal behavior.
