ive been on a break year and its ending next monday
like god damn ive been without too many worries for a year, never not having enough time, having a steady income without having to work, ive just been chilling for an entire year.
but now its over, and i dont know how to deal with it.

is there anyone that has gone through the same? im sitting here, ive prepared most of my work, but its been so long since i felt like i had limited time, and now everything i want to do doesnt feel worth my time anymore.
i just want to be doing something that i dont consider like a waste. how do i escape these feelies, BLF

when you get used to your work schedule it becomes a lot easier to live life as you once did

This is why I pad out my days with work so I don't lose my sense of schedule.

So what are you gonna do once your break is over Donnie?

Break year? Is it like disability or something, I don't know how Europe works

pretty sure she's talking about having taken a year-long break after graduation or something, people do that a lot here in the NL

They got paid for doing nothing according to the op, at least that's what it looks like to me.

I had a month off while transitioning to my new job this summer and it was a real punch in the richard working 50 hours the very first week back. I couldnt even imagine trying to work again after a whole year off.

yeah this. i've just had a 3 month summer break and i already feel "out of it", i can't imagine how it would be after a full year of doing nothing

Try going 5 or so years doing nothing but stuffpost on the BLF and play video games to being in high school its a massive change

what Yosher said is right. i took a year off after highschool to find out what i really want to do in life. it made me realize i wanted to follow art instead of programming, so saved myself from a lot of college money.

once you experience the break year there is no going back

i just plan a lot of trips to look forward to

give yourself a tight schedule with extra time for everything

start following it now or at least two weeks before school starts. read up and plan ahead a bit on what classes you will need to or want to take and make a skeleton of a schedule for the next couple years.

i havent been in this situation personally but what you should do is just step back from BL/BLF and everything while you get back used to working, and then eventually you'll find time for these hobbies/whatever again. unless you give yourself a truly insane schedule

in 'murica we call these gap years btw
