So my computer gets put in hibernation whenever I don't feel like shutting it down.

When I make it exit hibernation sometimes it turns on, then off, then on again and it keeps doing this.

Is it the power supply?

I don't know this stuff only happens 1 out of 100 times so it doesn't happen often enough for me to actually get results.

All I know is very rarely when it's in hibernation and I start it up it goes in a reboot loop and I'm afraid it would break my machine. Maybe a wire is loose.

If it was a loose wire or any other problem with the PSU, you'd have noticeable symptoms while running the PC. If you've only seen it with hibernation, try using sleep.

Depends on what it's set to. Normally, it's sleep and yeah, it does sound more like an OS problem than hardware.

How quickly does it turn off?

My computer, occasionally when I start it up, it will immediately turn back off, then back on. I know it's not an OS issue, because it never gets to the OS. I don't think it even gets past POST

I'm pretty sure it's my motherboard because it didn't start happening until I got it
