Hello BLF I am starting a new project called "The Blockland Help Desk". Basically what this is is a Discord server that new players can join to get help with different aspects of blockland. This includes:
Basic features like: the main menu, Start A Game, Join A Game, How to customize your player, How to optimize your settings (in game), and who the people are in the credits
Intermediate features like: basic eventing, starting a server, downloading add-ons, downloading music.
Advanced features like: Advanced eventing, starting a dedicated server, creating add-ons, creating oggs, coding/scripting (in-game and out of game), optimizing server settings
Also, this project is going to help users learn how to use the Blockland Forums.
I plan on having the same structure as the in-game help except on the forums. This will hopefully help new users:
Learn how to post new topics/replies
Post pictures (using Imgur or other image sites)
Learn how to create topics
Learn what each board means (Off-topic, Drama, etc.)
This project is still WIP, but i hope to get it up and running soon. I need some help from the forums though. I am making a discord server in which new users, or non-new users, can go and seek help with various topics i listed above. In order to do this, i need to get people who know a lot about the topics i listed above to be present in the discord so the players can seek help.
If you wish to be a helper in the discord server, please reply with what area you are best at (EG. scripting, Forum posting, etc.)
I am also currently making the discord server, I will keep you guys updates as to what the layout of the server will be.
Lastly, I am well aware that there is a Help section of the forums. This discord server's purpose is NOT to replace the Help section, it is to provide the user with hands-on help.
