you only need one, as long as it actually backs up what you're saying. this article only tells me that people not paying attention to slower cars (or just plain and simple driving like an idiot) cause accidents

Plus in the list on that website that shows the top 25 causes of accidents, driving slow isn't even mentioned due to how loving rare a wreck is caused due to it. The only one causing the wreck is the person acting irrationally because their panties were ruffled because a driver is going only 5 miles under, oh no what a bad thing!

What if it's raining and your tires are slipping? You have to drive slightly slower to prevent crashing. There's some weird driver ahead? Slow down to increase distance between you guys. There's so many VALID reasons for driving barely under the speed limit and on a passing lane.

Road rage is caused by the idiots that drive slow. And if you're driving slow there is no excuse to be in the passing lane, all these examples you give you could still use the right lane. The only reason to drive slow in the passing lane is if there is work in the other lane(s) but then it's no longer the passing lanes.

None of those reasons you gave are valid reasons and you could be driving in the right lane for all of them. Speaking of police it would probably be easier for them if you were in the right lane too. Driving slow is one of the leading causes of road rage, most people don't get in a car and go "time for some road rage" hence the name.

You're driving in the right lane (like your supposed to) and come across a slow truck. You can't see around the truck because it's so big. You check over your shoulder to see if anyone is coming up behind you because anyone in the lane should be driving faster than you at this moment. No one is there so you add some gas and pull out before blasting someone's bumper because you weren't expecting someone there.
