i wish the US could have like a speed RECOMMENDATION on the highways rather than a forgetin limit. germany's autobahn system works great
Id rather have something like a speed range limit. 55-75mph range on major interstates with 5mph above the limit leeway. Harsh tickets for anything over 80mph.

lol a cop's not gonna pull someone over for that.
Have you ever even driven on an interstate before? Judging by your profile age you haven't, so you wouldn't know that it's basically universal driving language to get over a lane if someone comes up on you in the fast lane. There's no danger in it at all as long as the person has room to get over obviously. It becomes a danger when the car in back rides their ass for a long time or does it when the person in front has no room to get over. It puts everyone in a bad situation.

My number one piece of advice for drivers is to not put yourself or others in bad situations. That's the biggest cause of accidents.
Never driven on an interstate (I live in Oklahoma, but I've driven on those 2/4 lane state highways plenty of times before though) but I've driven plenty of times to know what's right and wrong when it comes to driving safely.

Also you say your advice is "My number one piece of advice for drivers is to not put yourself or others in bad situations. That's the biggest cause of accidents." even though you said yourself that if someone went ever so slightly slower than normal, you'd tailgate and run them off a lane or two. That is insanely loving dangerous when it comes to driving.

when people drive two footed so their break lights constantly go on

Right, but whoever did the illegal action that caused the illegal action is more at fault

And also maybe

i
no
that's not how this works

DUIs are illegal but you'd still be imprisoned for shooting a drunk driver

True but it's not like he cares

care to explain?
its been shown that the autobahn system actually has lowered the amount of traffic crashes in german traffic. i believe honestly if the traffic conditions are safe enough, and there's enough space for safe lane changing, you should be able to go whatever speed you please, along with a recommendation for the area you're in. it's probably not that easy, but to me it's a matter of safety before speed

Germany has stricter and more expensive driving exams.

The Autobahn has no posted speed limit, when the weather permits.

Holy stuff this thread is moving fast, took many tries to post.
Moving over the speed limit, you might say.

er, no
i was asking for an explanation of the autobahn system

just looked it up anyway, that's pretty smart

I agree with the autobahn speedlimit thing, it'd be massively useful on the interstates

That was from a Travis Pastrana thing, XR might have picked up on it.
Basically an exaggerated sense of what you should do though. Get up close when they can get over to let them know they need to move. No harm at all.

If they're going really slow and you get up close (not tailgating distance) and when they move, don't do anything further to them, then yeah that's fine

Just tailgating their ass and running them off a lane will just cause an accident

What really grinds my gears is when you gotta get in the right lane to pass people who are going under the speed limit that are also driving in the passing lane.

Part 2
People who swerve all over the road, shoulder and other lanes. Spooky

Part 3
Getting stuck behind a vehicle that is all dented/damaged/metal box of crap that's literally falling apart. I'm sure someone knows good and well why it's all bashed in and it's probably a matter of time before they do something to cause it again (im not saying all dented cars are like that though)

On the new topic

I hate when I stop at a stoplight and see the driver next to me on their phone or something. I know it's unlikely but I'm trying not to be involved in the accident they're about to get in.

I also hate when somebody in front of me is driving really slow and I gotta sit there because the cars in the next lanes aren't allowing me to go in.

90% of the time it's because they're on their cellphone. That's the kind of stuff that really grinds my gears. I'll slap that stuff out of your hand if you try to use your phone while I'm in the car.

This argument ticks me off
