says right in the law that they're now legally allowed to investigate you if you do anything remotely suspicious, terrorism-wise

On May 26, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the PATRIOT Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act: roving wiretaps, searches of business records, and conducting surveillance of "lone wolves"—individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups.
"Four-year extension"

as in "it's 2016 and 2016 - 2011 = FIVE"

this doesn't prove my point
this patriot act is to "to deter and punish terrorist acts in the United States and around the world". just because you said "hey i joined CIA", unless if you're actually doing terrorist acts such as shooting up buildings blowing stuff up and etc while promoting that terrorist group, doesn't mean the government is going to go ham on you.

also what tactical nuke said

With the passage of the USA Freedom Act on June 2, 2015, the expired parts were restored and renewed through 2019.

i just want you to know you're actually arguing with a currently unchangeable, solidified, United States law.

do you guys actually not believe that the patriot act has curbed constitutional rights

Do you not remember anything from the Snowden and crew leaks?

Literally the next paragraph:

Following a lack of Congressional approval, parts of the Patriot Act expired on June 1, 2015.[5] With the passage of the USA Freedom Act on June 2, 2015, the expired parts were restored and renewed through 2019.[6] However, Section 215 of the law was amended to stop the National Security Agency from continuing its mass phone data collection program.[6] Instead, phone companies will retain the data and the NSA can obtain information about targeted individuals with permission from a federal court.[6]

Do you not remember anything from the Snowden and crew leaks?

i clearly loving understand that the NSA spies on you for stupid stuff

but they will not care if a bunch of joking friends are just sitting around joking about CIA

unless if you're being suspected of it yes they may take away your constitutional rights

but that's only if you're being suspected

almost nobody is going to loving suspect a bunch of memers

if you think im denying that im denying that there is an organization that is spying on you for your stuff then that's not my case at all

i want to disclaim that

You doubted that you were put on watchlists for saying or searching certain terms. That is what you said.

There isn't some guy who is going to start wiretapping you just for saying CIA, but your data will be collected and marked. If certain patterns start appearing actual agents will begin investigating.

the u.s. government takes no chances. they dont care about memes. saying anything in a manner as they did is required to be investigated by FBI/NSA standards.

You doubted that you were put on watchlists for saying or searching certain terms

sorry if it went out wrong that way but i was saying i'm doubted that they're gonna have the loving men in black kick down my door just for saying CIA

i was not being sarcastic when i said "im interested" because i'm actually curious and interested to see what the source would that be

so ok maybe they would collect your data but not loving lynch you and arrest you for it

There isn't some guy who is going to start wiretapping you just for saying CIA,

this was my point the entire time
