Author Topic: Weird computer issue: Freezing on Loading Windows screen or after it  (Read 741 times)

Just my luck, I ran into another problem on my computer that started this last week, it was running fine but then the day after, the computer started to freeze on the loading windows screen, that one with the windows logo in the middle and a black screen, that or it turns off by itself aftee a while, and rarely it could load up on windows just fine, just so it could freeze again and maybe later get a BSOD, I really have no idea what's happening, I ran to a couple of chkdsks but the problem still persists, the BSOD I get says memory_check_exception, but I did a memtest and nothing showed up either.

I bought a windows 7 64bit professional disk just like mine incase it can be useful at something, does anyone have a clue what could be causing this headache?

Have you also tried a S.M.A.R.T. check on your storage?

I literally had a similar problem on my laptop on Saturday.

I honestly don't know what that is.

i would suggest taking out the ram cards, wiping the connectors and then trying again

I did that before, it was a pain in the ass to make it stop doing the 3 beeps without booting up

if it's a desktop...have you tried checking the hard drive (or whatever kind of drive the OS is installed on) connections?

you know, just to be safe.

It is desktop, the connections seems to be fine

burn it to a cd or format a usb drive and boot it and run a test.
