A shooting in Houston, Texas, has resulted in several people sustaining injuries, police have said. The scene is now contained, but residents have been asked to avoid the area.
The Houston Police Department has confirmed "an active shooter situation in a shopping center near the corner of Weslayan and Bissonnet in southwest Houston."

An emergency alert from the city said the shooting scene is believed to be contained to the area of a shopping center, but warned residents to avoid the area.

Tweets from the Houston Police Department say that several people have been shot and are being taken to area hospitals.  The severity of injuries is not known.

shooter was a male, not sure as of now what kind of weaponry he had  so far, it looks like seven people have been injured, though no deaths luckily

Thank goodness no one died, still sad to have the ones injured.

Sounds like the guy was a stuffty shot and used a weak caliber. Most the injured drove themselves to the hospital.
Probably some poorcigarette that used a hipoint carbine or something.
