Author Topic: [VIDEO] side by side comparison of GTA V and GTA IV and how IV is better  (Read 1221 times)

I saw this a week ago. Pretty interesting.

..huh
i think i'm gonna play some gta iv

i saw this in the spring. it was a major help in my decision to not get gtav

I like V and IV both a lot. IV is just more realistic in its physics imo.

That's why V was a disappointment to me.

this really

it all matters on opinion, but the euphoria engine (engine GTA 4 used) never got boring to me, be it shootouts or police chases

if you hated the depressing filter you could just mod it away and make game look beautiful, and that was probably the most you needed to mod anyway

V had some more stuff than GTA IV, but the stuff GTA IV already had outdid what GTA V did with it

all I did was screw with the saturation and brightness to make it look decent, stills runs like poo though.
also one thing I really liked about IV is that the cars felt heavy, because cars are heavy. The handling was way too slippery but it still had satisfying results when you slammed into another car.

For me, if V had the car and bike driving physics of IV, and the airplane handling of SA, then that woukd make GTA V muuuuch more fun and less boring, mainly due to how fake the vehicles feel when driving (aside from helis those are perfecto)

all I did was screw with the saturation and brightness to make it look decent, stills runs like poo though.
ah alright, i never really tried to change it since i didn't have much of a problem with it but i'll try that next time i start up the game

also one more thing to add from my post although it's more of a personal pet peeve of mine, but is it me, or do police in GTA V not use a good half of the police vehicles they actually have in the game?

i remember in GTA 4 there was maybe one 'special' prison transport truck for the police that was used in the breakout mission, but for GTA V some of these unused cars you'll never see in the game unless you go to very specific locations at specific times

not to mention the stupid AI that they gave police to become ultra robotic and kill you (if you don't want to be arrested) if you stand by them for too long

im also kind of disappointed they didn't use the police vehicles that were in the trailer, it looked pretty cool to me over the generic 'POLICE'-marked interceptor the cops use exclusively now

but like i said, this is entirely my opinion, and i'm not sure if this is just whining or grasping at the straws or not so i can't speak for everyone or say this is an actual problem in the game

I miss the physics and interaction IV had - the absence of picking up random stuff and drunk walking kinda bummed me.

why in gta v everyone want to fight
