Similar problem, but with games, because I've literally downloaded like 63 steam games and I've barely played any of the games at all, so I wasted like 500+ gbs on games I am not even loving playing.
if you want to do it faster, you could plug it into your pc and remove everything using your pc instead of the phone

the bad thing about this is the slow loading / transfer rates of the cable

Thing is I have no access to a pc / Mac due to unforeseen circumstances.
meaning I can't use any that belongs to me, and my family members need theirs for not helping me clean up my hoarding habits.

solution: buy a 4TB external hard drive for like $120 max, regularly move all pictures from phone to hard drive

Gotta store your research somehow

Sometimes I fill my phone due to images of memes or something etc. but usually I clear them. Recently, I restored my phone after I forgot it's password and ended up being forced to connect to iTunes. But it was all worth it because now I have more space. 5GB iirc.
