These pigeons can literally fly away from danger and they only choose to fly about an inch away from it. Some fly right into danger.

How does an animal with wings have this problem?

this thread is a metaphor for itself

1) they're dumb
2) they mostly nest in cities/buildings, not in quick sand

I don't remember what I meant by that but in any case I'm glad you two appreciated it on some level

I recall pigeons have small brains.

Pigeons have evolved in environments full of fast-moving, scary-looking animals trying to eat them. There's nothing in their brain chemistry that registers downward-moving sand as a predator, and so the dumb little forgets just go headfirst into it cause they don't know any better.  It's kinda sad.

I saw a rat chase and eat a pigeon and the pigeon didn't loving fly away from it lol.

I recall pigeons have small brains.

So does Tony but he's lived this long

tony would probably dive into a grain silo out of curiosity

that's kind of impressive, to be honest
