Why do people still use Windows 7?
they think microsoft is a bank of cybercriminals out to fry your PC because they're really just appealing to the lowest common denominator.

i-i still use windows 8.1
yea 8.1 ain't too bad
i mean sure there's the weird start menu but i just ignore it completely lol

I'm stuck with a limited/trial Windows 7 until I get a new PC (mainly because I don't want to sink anymore money into this PC that I'm ditching soon), and for now I'm happy with not being kicked out of a game to update and not being given the option of "no".

I will be using W10 on the new rig tho.

Guess you need to upgrade now, just like a sensible individual.

disable the update service lol

How? I can't for the life of me find out how to disable updates on other computers and everything I read online says you can't.

I have my reasons for not updating.

i use win7 because i don't want compatibility issues with games, i'll probably update to 10 a year or so from now

I use 7
simply because I like it more and the computer that I'm using can't update to windows 10 for some reason

this too

Every time somebody says this, I shrivel up and die inside.

It's like saying you'd rather use an ear Annoying Orangeet than get a proper hearing aid because it's "more compatible" (which is completely false, btw).

i'd just rather not lose out on certain games that i might want
that's not particularly the best brown townogy because there's no benefit like that that's relating to what i was saying

Thanks for #shillingformicrosoft. 0.01$ has been deposited to your account.

I used to use windows 7 until I got a new laptop. In my opinion, windows 7 is a bit outdated now, it's like using windows XP back when windows 7 was still the big thing.

Currently I use Windows 8.1 and I've grown to like it. I do use Windows 10 nearly every day at school and in my opinion, I'm not much a fan of the work-flow on that operating system (and the updates ffs)

With me, windows 8.1 is the perfect mix between 10 and 7 and I just really like it. I know one day I'll upgrade to windows 10 though, but I may not due to possible compatibility issues with old pc games (like pre 2010 or older), since I play quite a lot of those lmao

it doesn't come with built-in advertisements.
nice meme but no such things exist

unless you're talking about these which i know you probably thought were permanent but are literally the easiest things to get rid of

I've been using windows 10 for at least 4 months now
0 issues so far

I still use windows 7. Mostly because it works just fine as it is right now. Until my computer breaks I really don't see any good reason for me to upgrade right now.

This. Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 has been having some "black screen" issues with W10. Minecraft also has some issues with W10. Specifically some people have said that all their servers from the server list where gone once they upgrade.

Semi-recently my sister went to this Microsoft coding camp (not as cool as it sounds) and while she did that me and my mom got to mess around with the computers. They were all running Windows 10. It might've been the computers but W10 was pretty slow, both in loading up a site and when trying to type something in. W7 on my computer is considerably faster than W10 on those computers.

I wouldn't mind upgrading to W8 though.
