Author Topic: Any good free screenshot programs out there?  (Read 2552 times)

The problem with lightshot is that you cant take screenshots in fullscreen apps and some windowed apps like the one im gonna be using it for. Im definitely going to try the other methods.

I use lightshot over sharex because my computer is hot garbage and sharex would take longer to launch than a space shuttle

Testing ShareX + Preview of what i am going to do.

Im having a strange error that prevents uploads of some screenshots.

Because of this error, i might not use ShareX. EDIT: The error is mostly because of Imgur, i dont think i can fix it. Edit2: Uploading the image later is possible meaning ShareX can work with Imgur correctly.

sharex
puush got hacked once and sharex has much more options too

if it's games and windows 10, you could try the windows + G keybinds
there's a keybind for screenshots, a keybind for recording, and a keybind for recording the last X seconds

snipping tool

i'm being serious, i use that all the time. it comes with windows 7 and i believe onward.
lol ur joking right

lightshot or sharex are your best choices

Imgur is probably just stopping you from uploading too fast.

ShareX is definitely my recommendation on Windows.

ive been using lightshot for years, its great

The problem with Lightshot is the prntscr or whatever website it embeds everything in.
Even though I'm running adblock, it has a bunch of ads and extra scripts and stuff
I especially had issues with it once on my phone, where it kept redirecting me to other websites and making my phone vibrate
