help with decale

can someone help me i made a decale and one side is the same color as  part of the decale

This happens with Azerath's Master Chief decal, it's cause it's too big, make it a little smaller

but its 256x256
last i knew that was thecorrect size

Yeah, that right, but if the picture ITSELF is as big as the size like a fully colored in 256x256 decal, then the sides of the minifig would be colored, that's what happens with Azerath's Young Miles decal, that changed the whole body o_o
