Take a look for yourself. I checked up to 1000 posts, it's all /r/the_donald. Wtf is going on?

Admins have said they're looking into it but no word so far as to what's causing it.

There are a few possibilities at the moment. Some are more likely than others.
Moderately likely: Reddit accidentally forgeted over the /r/all algorithm without testing it first.
Moderately likely: Reddit tested a new /r/all algorithm but a bug made /r/the_donald shoot way up.
Less likely: Reddit was hacked
Very unlikely: Massive botting by /r/the_donald users
Extremely unlikely: Conspiracy to get /r/the_donald banned. Considering that having the top 1000 spots on /r/all is not a subreddit-bannable offense unless it's mod or owner-sponsored, this would be a stupid move on their part.

The issue seems to be fixed now. /r/all is back to normal. I expect there will probably be an announcement soon. Stay tuned!

Alright, I think we can scratch botting off the list. The fix was so quick that it couldn't have been botting. This was either a hack (not really likely) or a change to the /r/all algorithm (most likely). No word yet on what changes happened that made the_donald take the top 900 or so spots, but an announcement probably takes several hours to type up.
