Author Topic: what kind of editing techniques do people use in youtube poops?  (Read 1360 times)

quality youtube poops that is, not just inserting some sound clip of "SPAGHETTI" and reversing the clip.

a good example is something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBMNgCSsQdg

well for starters the main thing youre gonna need is effort

i have many ideas for youtube poops, but i don't know how to edit them well enough so it doesn't look like it was made in windows movie maker

Most of them use a professional editing software though the "original" youtube poops were originally in windows movie maker using only built-in effects.

lt's a youtube poop not a million dollar blockbuster just do whatever and forget around with settings move some stuff around i guess

This. IMO the better youtube poops are ones that do sentence mixing very well. You could try that first with just windows movie maker.

Make sure you got ear rapes somewhere in there.

remember the second golden rule of comedy: loud == funny. so you want to be as loud as possible at all times. this in turn will maximize the humour level of the video.

youtube poops don't follow a formula, they just edit a episode of a tv show or any other source material so it tells a different story.
for example, you could turn the episode where spongebob is catching jellyfish into an episode where spongebob captures patrick for his love dungeon.

A good poop I saw the other day was "Mr Krubby Krabby avenges Pearl Harbor".

some insane editors like AwfulFawfulTheFalafe or Sinn3d_tragedy do a lot of masking and heavy editing

some examples

sinn3d (they upload on youtube but their video got heavily edited to stay on youtube because viacom is starfishs, so here's a unmodified ver.):
